Start getting ready! The Machias Bay Chamber’s Annual Scarecrow Contest will kick off soon!!! We hope the town will be filled with goblins, and witches, and scarecrows and other scary stuff during the month of October. Judging will take place on October 27 and the first place winners in both business and residential will be announced the next day. Call the Chamber to register your Halloween display address, 255.4402. Entrants must embrace a Halloween display and live within five miles of Machias center.
