ATTENTION MACHIAS RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS OWNERS
Do you own property along the water or in the low lying areas? The Town of Machias has received the preliminary flood plain maps from FEMA with their proposed changes. These changes could affect your property and your insurance rates. The preliminary maps are available for review at the town office during regular business hours and we strongly encourage all interested parties to stop by and review the maps. If your property is in an affected area you are encouraged to contact FEMA and your insurance carrier regarding any changes.
